Looking for a chair that fits you and your needs? Then the search is over.
Lift Chairs, designed to assist people to a standing position from sitting position, are known by many different names, but the most common are Lift Recliners, Lift Chairs and Chair Lifts. Though similar in appearance to other upholstered recliners, the Lift Chairs exclusively have a recline and lift mechanism containing a motor, or in some cases two motors, that not only moves the chair up or down but also reclines the back and raises the footrest.
When you want to recline or move out of the chair, all you need to do is simply push a button and the motor/motors move the chair into a standing position, so that you can simply walk out of the chair. The Electric Lift Chairs are especially beneficial for caregivers as they provide the lifting action to move the patient from sitting to standing position.
On the basis of positions that these chairs are able to achieve, they are classified as:
2 Position Lift Chair:
The 2 Position Lift Chair can recline to approximately 45 degree angle i.e. it can recline to any position up to that point. It has only one button on the control.
3 Position Lift Chair:
The 3 Position Lift Chair can recline to a nearly flat position as well as every position in between. Here the ottoman and the back operate together, as the back reclines the footrest comes up. It also has only one button on the control.
Infinite Position Lift Chair:
Though the Infinite Position Lift Chair looks and works quite similar to the 3 Position chair, here however, the back is independent of the foot rest. Infinite Lift Chairs have 2 motors as against 2 and 3 Position Chairs, which have only one. Also, the Infinite Position Lift Chairs have two buttons on the control, one for the back and one for the foot rest. |
